We traveled from Simons Town as we were told that outlying areas are easier and faster. We have been standing outside for 3 hours and have not yet even gotten into the building. The system is very disorganized and things take much, much longer than anticipated. It is frustrating and exhausting.

Although the speed and service is roughly what you'd expect from any home affairs office, their staff was helpful and polite. The waiting area is comfortable and they have amenities like water coolers and restrooms available. Overall, it was a satisfactory experience.
