Diepwalle Forest reviews
Stunning. The 3 elephant walks are in the forest and vary slightly in distance. We did the red trail, which is the shortest and most (not very) difficult of the 3. It is not technical at all with only a few hills. Definitely recommended.
Strange place, we had a reservation for a tent, arrived 5pm, departed 9am, never saw a single staffer. No way to get into our tent accommodation. Slept in our van. A rate SANpark FAIL. The forest was great though.
Hikes the While Elephant Trail, approximately 9km, gravel road sections alternate with bush trails, undulating and shaded all the way. Beautiful indigenous forest, birds, ferns, wild mushrooms, a joy all the way!

Hiked the White Elephant Trail, approximately 9km, gravel road sections alternate with bush trails, undulating and shaded all the way. Beautiful indigenous forest, birds, ferns, wild mushrooms, a joy all the way!
The forest was stunning. We enjoyed the hike on the red trail. It was not too difficult but had some nice hills. The scenery was beautiful and it was a great experience.
The facilities at Diepwalle Forest Forestry service were terrible. We had a tent reservation but there was no one to help us access it. We ended up sleeping in our van. The forest itself was nice though.
I had a great time hiking on the White Elephant Trail. The trail was well-maintained and offered a mix of gravel road sections and bush trails. The forest was beautiful with lots of bird life and interesting plants.
The red trail at Diepwalle Forest was a nice and easy hike. It wasn't too technical and had only a few hills. The scenery was stunning and I would definitely recommend it.
Our experience at Diepwalle Forest was disappointing. We had a reservation for a tent but there was no staff on site to help us access it. We ended up having to sleep in our van. The forest itself was beautiful though.
I enjoyed hiking on the White Elephant Trail. The trail was well-marked and offered a mix of gravel road sections and bush trails. The forest was stunning with lots of bird life and interesting plants.
The facilities at Diepwalle Forest were lacking. We had a tent reservation but there was no one to assist us. We had to sleep in our van instead. However, the forest itself was amazing and worth a visit.

Our stay at Diepwalle Forest was a disappointment. We had a reservation for a tent but there was no staff present to assist us. We had to sleep in our van instead. However, the forest was stunning and made up for the lack of service.
