Melrose House Museum reviews
The museum was closed when we arrived. The building itself looks quaint. I was told it was the place where the peace treaty between the English and the Boer was signed. More interesting looked the parc infront of it I have to admit. I feel like I wouldn’t have missed anything if I hadn’t seen this…
The very house, used by the British Forces, during the Anglo Boer War, and where the Peace Treaty was signed by the British and Boer Generals, to end the war ???????? …
What an awesome experience. The museum is starting to show signs of wear and tear, but still gives you a clear picture of the kind of opulent lifestyles people lived back then. The massive tree in the front yard was a surprising bonus.
