Good service. I liked the tea and biscuits. The eye surgery was quick, professional and painless. I have 20/20 vision now. Would recommend.

My wife had her surgery there and was (so did I) the professional and caring attitude of the Staff. Also, the appearance and the ambiance of the Clinic is of the highest order.

My mom had an appointment with Dr Farouk Moosa on Monday the 4th of April 2022. After arriving for our appointment, and greeted by the most unfriendly faces I’ve ever seen, my mom was seen to and consulted by Doc for 5 minutes! During that time, he also attended to another patient, that he totally misdiagnosed, as the patient’s daughter reprimanded him and made him realize his mistake. My mom comments on the use of big medical words that clearly were meant to impress and totally went above her head, and did not take into account her age and attained education level. He also sent her home with medication that expired in December 2020! His assistant, who accompanies him to all of his consultations lectures and tries to explain and simplify things for his patients was also not present for her consultation. She streamlined and fast-tracked a conversation he was having with other patients (while my mom was still in his consultation room) about his son’s SAT results, saying either way it was fine because he’s black and therefore will be accepted by UCT. So, she gets BBBEE passed, only because she’s black and also assume she will be on some form of scholarship for his tertiary education, that she comments she clearly ‘plans to apply for…well who else will pay for that’. Thank God my mom had her glasses on, or she would not have seen the amount of disrespect shown to her personally by this supposedly skilled physician! I phoned to make the appointment after reading reviews on these very descriptive websites of Durban Healthcare professionals, and I explained all of her current symptoms to his very efficient secretary, as per that her consult lasted 5 minutes! He did not even consider the fact that she does not have an even remotely discernable facts. Our consultant we were planning to see is no longer available and I will never dare darken his door…even if we driving past in a tornado! I cannot recommend Dr Farouk Moosa to anyone in need of his ‘exemplary service’ or ‘skill’. A true waste of medical School and training …my mom and I do not feel safe in his hands:(
